My name is Melissa Atkinson. I work in the audit department of Citibank
Group. A deceased client who was of your origin has a cash deposit with
our Bank. From the time of his death till date none of his relative has
approached the bank to lay claim of this deposit. The order according to
Ministry of Finance unclaimed deposits are to be transferred to the State
Treasury after a period of Five Years. The five years duration for this
deposit will be completed at the end of this calendar year.

There is an ongoing internal board meeting regarding this deposit. The
board members are planning to erase the history of the deceased client from
the bank database to make it possible for them to divert the funds to their
personal accounts. Since I’m not a board member I have no chance to get
any share from the funds even though I have vital details of the deposit at

The work of the lawyer will be to procure all legal papers which will
confirm you a “Next of Kin” to the deceased client. My work is to provide
all the information about the deceased client and the deposited amount.

request the Bank to release the funds to you. Under the International
Monetary Law the Bank is mandated to approve monetary claim backed with
legal papers, this is why the lawyer and I are confident that this deal
