This week we decided to compare these two colossal outreach beasts. Who do you think performs better in the outreach campaigns? Email, with its historical presence, or Linkedin, the new go-to guy on the market? 🤔 The main point of the blog post was to analyse both the advantages and disadvantages of email and LinkedIn, so you can decide for yourself which one suits you better.

Outreach, SDR, BDR, what’s up with all these terms? What are they? Are they related? Do we need to know them? If you ever stepped your foot in a sales or marketing agency, you have probably heard these terms. In this week’s blog post, we explain what each of these words means, and what’s the difference between them. 🤷
Outreach - The process of reaching out to prospects. Seems very simple, but not quite. There is also a distinction between a lead and a prospect, but that would take a whole other blog post. By cold outreach, we mean making the first step. Reaching out to prospects you have not had previous contact with. Does seem intimidating, but is extremely fruitful. The outreach can be automated, semi-automated or completely manual. And this is where it gets even more complicated. What is SDR or BDR? Can you do outreach without them? Long story short, yes, you can. But you will need the helping hand of some automation tools.
SDR - Inside sales reps focus on inbound leads. Meaning, they catch the leads that previously expressed interest in the solution as a result of the marketing strategy. Whether by social media ads, content, website, referrals or some other way. These leads are not cold prospects, since the initially expressed interest is theirs.
BDR - Is a type of role, whose focal point is researching the market for fresh new leads, and therefore expanding the business. Business development reps have one of the hardest jobs. Since they need to make the first move. They interact with people that have probably never heard of them or their company. 🥶

Nurturing. That one act of care and support towards someone or something. Have you heard about nurturing in sales? We are sure you most probably have. But did you know that in order to complete the nurturing funnel, the majority of the prospects pass through a set of obstacles? 🤔 Let’s see which obstacles we need to overcome so we can get the prospects to a meeting:
Response obstacle - Represents the transition between automation and manual nurture. By this point, you know your ICP, you’ve crafted resonating messages, and you’re waiting for a response. At this stage, a NO is still a response. We love feedback, remember. Successful prospect will respond with curiosity. 😊
Problem obstacle - Many of the respondents will get stuck here. That’s because the prospects need to admit that they have a problem. The bad news is that you can’t assume if they have a problem or not, nor you can ask them directly. The good news - by building a relationship with the help of continuous nurture, they will open up.
Solution obstacle - Once they’ve clearly stated their problem, it becomes easier. The goal of this section is to ensure the prospect that your type of solution can work specifically for their business. This can go both ways. If you convinced them, they could agree to a meeting, if not, don’t be discouraged. They may be still confused or need more convincing.
Meeting obstacle - Congratulations, you almost did it! 👏 At this point, your prospect is engaged and agrees to a meeting where you can discuss further details. Now is time for your pitch. It should be presented in a simple way, as an answer to their problem/question. Knowing your USP can definitely help here.
Transfer obstacle (optional) - If you are holding the meetings, then your job is done, you can skip this step. But, if you are some sort of a mediator, you will need to make the transfer as smooth as possible. Some prospects would be hard to transfer to someone else, once they’ve connected with you. Have this in mind.
Marketing support - The nurturing process is full of twists and turns. You simply can’t predict what your prospects are gonna do. Marketing support is needed at all stages, but mostly - in the consideration phase. The first impression matters the most. 🤩 Optimise your LinkedIn profile, check if your website is welcoming enough. Don’t forget the newsletter, e-books, etc.

New Year’s B2B Reflections and Resolutions of a CEO
It’s been 5 years since our CEO bootstrapped this company. Woah, time does flash by! 😮
Something we would like others to know, is the amount of love and courage poured into this business, the sleepless nights spent thinking and working, so it can flourish. It wasn’t easy. But it was worth it. 😊 However, life is way simpler if you have someone to lean on. A shoulder and a smile can mean the world in the toughest of times. That can keep us going. Now, there is no looking back, except for a bit of reminiscing.
Here are our CEO’s reflections of this passing year, and of course - resolutions for the upcoming. 😎
Reflections - When you first start your business, you dive into a whole new world. 🌍 You struggle to find clients, and it sometimes may feel like a terribly wrong decision. But hey, after the dawn out comes the sun. 🌞 Our CEO started with nothing. It’s a cliche, we know, but that doesn’t make it any less true. The only person he had was his fiancée and a bank loan. And that was more than enough. BizzBee is going strong 5 years later and is on a path of steady growth. That’s a pretty big deal if you ask us.
Lessons learned - After a series of ups and downs, there are lessons to be learned. Every single mistake is a step closer to growth. 📈 You can rarely rely on coaches or book lessons to grow. Yes, they could help, but the only person that knows your business at its core is you. You are the only one that knows how much potential lies within you. That’s why our CEO needed to learn how to hold the steering wheel. He also needed to bring all departments in sync. Deciding to focus on working on the business, rather than in the business was his turning point.
Resolutions - New Year - new me, right? Perhaps New Year - new clients is even better. 😊 After all, the resolutions are nothing but firm determinations. Wishes to be better, do better. There is so much more to be done, and we are not stopping. Ultimately, the bees are known for their hard-working tendencies. 🔨Turbulences and mistakes can’t always be avoided. The only way for a company to grow is if we embrace them and learn from them.

Hello there, the bees report for duty.
We were so busy these days.
The holiday spirit caught us early and left us drunk and hungover. 🥴
From nectar, of course. We didn’t spare a single jar. But it was sooo fun.
We danced, we sang, played games. Our queen got us presents. 🎁
No, we can’t say what we got, it’s a secret. Shh. Ah, you gotta love the holidays.
Such a pity that it’s once a year. But hey, maybe it’s for the better. We won’t get buzzed on nectar that often.
Now, we have to do the usual housekeeping. You know, feeding the queen, collecting nearby pollen and nectar and of course - building the honeycomb.
Because we need to make sure the honey is stored properly. 👨💼

Why is it so important to define the target audience - Businesses need to understand their customers. Only then they will be able to provide them with top quality services and solutions. Building connections and valuable relationships with your target audience can make a huge difference in your business growth. Especially in an already crowded market. 📣

To help myself eliminate these distractions, I asked for some help online. That’s when I found this super-useful app that you can download and install on your computer or mobile device. 😊
It basically blocks the websites and the apps, or in some extreme cases - it blocks the whole network or the internet access. But of course, I still need the internet to do my research. 🕵️ You can set as many variables as you want on this app. For example, you can say which websites to block, their blockage time span, you can set predefined categories (news, games), etc. An app can also be installed on your kids’ devices to restrict their access to certain websites, in order to keep them safe. All in all, a solid investment. ✔️

He loves wearing his Spiderman costume whenever possible. 🕸️ And if anything is out of boundaries, he has an ace up his sleeve. He is a fair trader of kisses. A kiss as a permission to do something. An offer anyone can rarely refuse.😘 What a bright bee. Once you have a child, the roles change. We become softer, tolerant and loveable.🕊️ And Metodija brings the best out of his parents. We are all happy to see him running around. It makes you reminisce on how careless we felt when we were at that age. Childhood, what a bee-autiful and honey-sweet period. 😇

Since cloning people is still not possible (or legal), 🤷 Dancho has his team to support and assist him. Numerous projects, client appointments, conferences and many other tasks keep Dancho occupied for the rest of the day. Even when the workday is over, he doesn't throw in the towel. It's exercise time. Swimming, hiking, EMS workouts are just some of his regular choices. Even working out is not his kryptonite. ✊ As you might imagine, it's finally time for a well-deserved break. He pampers himself with a nice dinner, and the occasional pint, while catching up with his family. 👪 Isn't all his energy drained already, you'd ask? As you already know, we have a whole team in operations tackling the projects one by one. One of those bees is Marija. Marija has a very important role. Target more people in the same department, because there is always more than one person that holds the cards and makes the final call.
