There is no better way to solemnly appeal to the Creator to release His avalanche of blessings than to beseech Him through songs of praise and worship just as The St'Mary's Catholic Church Cathedral choir did Today Sunday. The atmosphere was animated by the lifted hands of congregants who backed the choir as they doled out soul-lifting songs enriched with bravura instrumentation.
“We know we are guilty of many things. We believe Jesus died on the Cross for us. This is a special grace. Every soul that cries, that demands for justice - He died on the Cross. Victory! Victory! Hallelujah! You that are crying - cry no more! Whatever situation you are facing - here is justice! Are you sick? Be healed, in the name of Jesus! Be delivered, in the name of Jesus! Be set free, in the name of Jesus Christ!" - His Eminence.
The message of His Eminence Cardinal Bernardin Gantin Jr, TITLED: HERE IS JUSTICE! and reflected the essence of God in a man’s life. It also captured the intrigues involved in the Christian race which has never been a stroll in the park for anyone – not even for our Lord Jesus who had to die for our sake.
“In the world today, mankind has endless wishes and desires to suit the philosophy of what a successful life means to them. Many desire to be leaders – the spokesmen in that gathering, the pastors in this congregation, the chairmen of that forum, the Managing Director of that company – endless wishes.
But it is not mere wishful thinking that brings about a contented life; it is a rightful focus. So what are you focusing on? When you focus on God in your decision making, you are prepared for tomorrow.”
His Eminence, contended that it is only when our lives are focused on God that we are assured of a brighter tomorrow. But a brighter tomorrow is not without its own tests and trials that we must strive to overcome. We must endure, persevere and remain steadfast like great people of the Bible whose dependence on God paved the way for their eventual greatness: “If you carefully observe the lives of great men and women of faith, you will discover that their lives were centered on one thing – the Saviour first in mind.
In all their steps, in every move they made, they were driven by Christ’s Spirit of hope, faith, patience, endurance, perseverance and forbearance for a better future. They had the right attitude to life by combining hard work with a quiet confidence in God, their source, for the future they desired not the one they feared”.
His Eminence, left the congregation to ponder over and derive inspiration from the following nugget: “The best are those who are destined for Heaven, those who internalize God and believe that the service of God is a thing of the mind. They are willing servants who do what the Lord puts in their mind to do.
They mirror Christ; they are not swayed or moved by public attitude or opinion concerning what they believe. They are unique among the crowd”.
I pray for you that whatever challenge you are facing in your life Today be it; Setback,Depressions,Delay and Broken relationship be restored now in Jesus Christ Mighty name.

TRUSTING IN GOD!
There was a splendid display of God’s power during The St'Mary's Catholic Church Service Today. Aside from the inspiring testimonies, the choir was in its usual elements – providing the musical impetus for the Spirit-filled moments of praise and worship.
The Mass Prayer session brought the kingdom of darkness to its knees as the fire of God was released at every demonic affliction, yoke and manipulation that had held the children of God hostage. In the end of the spiritual face-off, chains were loosed while age-long afflictions were brought to an end courtesy of the Holy Spirit, which worked in tandem with the Father and the Son to restore glory to God’s children.
In His message titled; TRUSTING IN GOD, His Eminence Cardinal Bernardin Gantin Jr, urged the congregation to repose their total belief in God, even in the face of the worst of situations. According to His Eminence, in spite of the reality of the lion’s den, Daniel refused to give up his trust in the Most High God. He was not only saved from the lion’s, he was set up for a new level in life while his status and relationship with God attained different levels entirely. “He received the future he desired and not the future he feared,” His Eminence added.
Continuing, His Eminence observed that the human character must undergo tests in order for it to be shaped for greater things ahead. But when these tests come in the form of humiliation or hardship, a good Christian must not repudiate his faith and focus in God: –
Remember as gold is tested by fire, so also the human character is tested in the furnace of humiliation.” Urging Christians to cling unto their faith in God rather than give in to fear.
His Eminence concluded, leaving a huge and inspiring nugget: – “I am here to encourage you that you have a friend – the Holy Spirit – who will defeat fear for you today.”
I pray for you in this new week that every fear in your life stooping you from archiving what God has planned for you be destroyed in Jesus name! go and possess your possession, no setback, no delay and sickness will not see you in Jesus name. COVID-19 IS NOT YOUR PORTION IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST.

It was another moment to celebrate God’s majesty in The St's Mary's Catholic Church Sunday service. Congregants sang and danced along with the beautiful soul-lifting songs of the choir. Every minute echoed the glory of His name in the lives of His children who have not stopped praising Him, in spite of the harsh economic realities facing the world. The testimonies and prayers reassured Christians that, in Christ Jesus, there is hope everlasting.
Congregants went into sober reflection when His Eminence Cardinal Bernardin Gantin Jr, delivered his message titled CHARACTER IS MORE IMPORTANT. According to him, “Only your character can testify to your confession of Christ, not your gift. A Christian’s life comes from Christ Himself. Jesus Christ is the Word of God and God’s Word reflects His character. Great men are those who mirror Jesus Christ because His character is the foundation of everything great.
The problem today is that many are after gift but few are after character.” Continuing, His Eminence posited that, “As a Christian, you need to be humiliated. His Eminence says that man will continue to hide his true character until his pride is injured. As a Christian, when you are humiliated by foolish things such as sickness, poverty, disrespect and the like, don’t think it strange and begin to act out of character – keep calm and be determined.”
Concluding, His Eminence left the following advice for those who think that their lives are irredeemable because of sin: “Broken things become useful in the hands of God. Following Jesus is not difficult once you realize that all He is asking from us is our goodness. Humans misjudge character because they value people by their gifts and outward appearance but the Lord values only the holy faith,love and the fruit of the Spirit, which are planted in the heart – beyond any human discernment. This is why character is more important.”
I pray that this new week will be week of good news in your life and every opposing character will be defeated in Jesus mighty name! you are favored!you are blessed and protected in Jesus Christ mighty name, Amen. COVID-19 IS NOT YOUR PORTION IN JESUS NAME!

LET GOD TALK TO YOU!
The everlasting beauty and power in God’s Word cannot be over-emphasized. The foregoing came into play in today's Sunday sermon, during The St'Mary's Catholic service. His Eminence Cardinal Bernardin Gantin Jr, called on congregation to walk in line with God’s agenda, stressing that the only way we can conquer worries and all the uncertainties of life is to attune ourselves to God’s agenda. “God’s time is God’s agenda.
Let the Word of God lead us. You have seen that God is reliable and when you know that God is reliable, you have to put your trust in Him. Jesus Christ is reliable and now it is time to put your trust in Him. There is so much worry and upset. There is one thing that is needed – God’s agenda,” he submitted.
Concluding, His Eminence enjoined the congregation to embrace practical Christianity by reading the Word of God and accompanying it with prayer. His Eminence observed that it is only by so doing that we can create and attain that infallible connection between us and our Creator. According to him, “Prayer and Bible reading should always go together. One is not complete without the other. When you read your Bible without offence, you are talking to God. God is listening as you pray and replies accordingly.”
Earlier,His Eminence had reminded congregation of the need to obey the commandments of God by embracing the dictates of His will. According to His Eminence, the beauty of obedience to God is measured by our indomitable spirit in the face of the adversities of life when the going is not good. His Eminence, observed that a true Christian is he or she who still obeys God even in the worst of situations. “Christian or godly character is the divine oil that keeps the gift of God in the life of Christians burning. No one can maintain God’s gift without God’s character”.
His Eminence concluded with an eye-opener for the congregation. He submitted that obedience to the will of God is the true Christian’s license for receiving the ultimate and everlasting reward from God: “Your obedience to the Word of God is the only proof of your faith in Him. God oftentimes does not reward the smart or clever people; He rewards the obedient.”
I pray that whatever you have been fasting and praying for must be granted unto you in this new week as you talk to God in Jesus mighty name! BELIEVING FIRST AND SEEING!
The choir, having animated the atmosphere with faith-inspiring songs amid great dancing by the congregation, The St'Marys Church Sunday service of today witnessed the outpouring of God’s Spirit in many ways. The mass prayer were all Spirit-filled. Each, in its own special way, posed a great threat to the kingdom of darkness and led to the destruction of strongholds in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
In his message titled; BELIEVING FIRST AND SEEING, His Eminence Cardinal Bernardin Gantin Jr advised congregation to solidify their relationship with God by believing in Him first without necessarily seeing any proof of His promises. His Eminence lamented on the state of the congregation in which so many people build their faith more on the things they see rather than on those things they should believe in their hearts: “The thing that keeps us from despairing is not what we see but what we believe.
This is why we have so many rich men today with wealth, just talk about it but yet, they are despairing. They are not happy, they are worried. With the material wealth, properties and money we can see with them, yet, no joy.” According to His Eminence, in spite of our belief in God, we are not free from the troubles of this world. However, the only difference between us and unbelievers is that while their troubles may consume them, ours, as Christians, would only strengthen us and prepare us for future glory:
“As a Christian, believer, born again, friend of Jesus, favorite of the Kingdom of God, lover, that you will enter the Kingdom is very sure, that does not mean you are ‘out of touch’… Sickness will test you. Hardship will test you but they cannot destroy you. Affliction of all kinds may test you, they can only test you. Tribulations may test you but they cannot destroy you.”His Eminence stated!
Concluding, His Eminence left this food for thought to the congregations: “The only thing that will give you peace of heart is to consider your neighbor while looking for your way out. You neighbor can be someone who does not share the same faith with you, your enemy, friend. You who are a Christian today can be a criminal tomorrow. That is why you have to consider others. Your greatest enemy today who wants to kill you, may be your Savior tomorrow.”
Earlier, His Eminence had nourished the minds of congregants with uplifting counsels based on the Word in his message titled; THE SEED OF YOUR HEART. His Eminence admonished Congregation to guard their utterances because the words that proceed from their mouths are capable of building up or pulling down.
His Eminence,Put differently, our words, as products of our thoughts are capable of making or marring our lives and those of others around us: “Your words have the capacity to make and unmake. With your words, you constantly paint a public picture of your inner self… it is the character of a good man that he has good treasure in his heart and from there he brings forth good things…”
I pray that whatever means the enemy we use to test your faith will never pull you down but strengthen you to the next level of greatness in your life in Jesus mighty name!AMEN. COVID-19 IS NOT FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME!
